Hello!

I'm Nicole Hassenstab, a dedicated advocate for effective communication, community engagement, and storytelling through media. I am a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa where I received my Bachelor's degree in Strategic Public Relations complemented by minors in International Affairs and Political Science, as well as a program certificate in International Peace and Security.

I see my professional career as a chance to learn, where every opportunity serves as a stepping stone to broaden my understanding of people, culture, and complex projects. I'm particularly drawn to the fields of publicity, media relations, and strategic communications, where I can combine my skills and passions for the greater good.

In my current role as Communications Coordinator at American University's School of International Service, I leverage my expertise in digital media and marketing to amplify the institution's impact among various demographics. Prior roles, including internships with organizations such as the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and the African American Museum of Iowa, have further honed my ability to navigate diverse communication landscapes.

When I'm not focusing on communication strategies or analyzing the latest social media trends, you can usually find me watching Formula 1, attending women's soccer games, reading, or working on my latest embroidery project.
